Bolivia day 6-14#

Had some random predicaments that have distracted me from writing. Since I'm already down a week I'll just write everything here for the listed days. 9/22/25 This was my first day of school, I think I was supposed to have an interview with the director but I basically got a high and was sent to class with a notebook. Im not sure iff we are behind on that or something because the director made it clear he wanted something like a meeting but I still haven't been called to the office since then so Im not sure. Anyways as soon as I got to class I was swarmed by everyone. I didn't understand much of what the teachers were saying so it was kind of a blur until lunch where I mostly hung out with the people in my grade. After school I think we relaxed for a bit but then eventually Joaquin and I started using the playstation online with another person from school for at least a hour or so. Also I forgot to mention I had Spanish lessons alone today 9/23/25 We didn't have scho...

Bolivia day #5

9/21/25 (writing this on the 25th because of a variety of things came up) Hello everyone Today Carlos and I hiked up to the Christ statue. It was about 1000 steps to the actual area and took quite a long time, after we got up there we eventually left through a metro cable. after that the day was relatively empty and we just relaxed. Adios

Bolivia day 4#

Hello Everyone, I think I may start writing these in the mornings after the day, but only on the weekends. I did it yesterday and it was much easier. Anyways starting my day I was rushing breakfast with Carlos because I took a while to get up and get to class. I was then at class, which wasn't super difficult, till about 12:00 Pm. After that Carlos and I went to the mall to get a new E sim for my phone and then my school uniforms. Next we drove over to a club they are a member of, where we had food, swam, and used the sauna. All that I would consider eventful after that would be is playing playstation for a couple hours with Joaquin. The day surely wasn't as busy as the last few day but was still fun. Adios

Written 9/20/25 but for 9/19/25 Hello everyone I fell asleep before I could write the post yesterday because we had been generally been doing a lot. I’m not tying to make this post super long because it is till morning in Alaska right now and I have Spanish classes in a hour and am I writing this between eating breakfast. For breakfast I woke up on time and ate with Daniela and Joaquin at 7:00, after they left I just studied and watched a show. Daniela came back at 11:30 instead of 2:30 because of a different schedule for fridays, so we went out to the center of town for lunch. I had a some traditional food like salteña and walked around the parks until about 3:00 when we had to go pick up Joaquín and ten went out again for food where we had another traditional food. Pique macho? I think it’s called, im not entirely sure. All of the food was good and everything. I think I’ve lost quite a bit of weight by being here, I’m not hungry or anything but I’m eating way less calorie dense ...

September 18th 2025 Blog 2# Hello everyone, while writing this my second day in Bolivia has passed and it has also gone well. It was far less eventful but still enjoyable. Because of my jet lag and tiredness from the flights I wasn't awake for breakfast with the exchange family, but I able to have breakfast with the lady who cleans around the house. After that I studied Spanish and watched YouTube until 2:20 when Daniela, my host mother, came back for lunch and we ate silpancho a Bolivian food until Carlos, my host father, came back with Joaquin, my host brother. Carlos then took me to my first class of Spanish with rotary from 3:00 to 5:00. It wasn't difficult and I met another exchange student, a girl from France, there should be another guy but I think he might be in Santa Cruz. I met her host family for a few minutes, who were very talkative and happy to meet me. After we came back and I played playstation with Joaquin for a bit then had dinner, which was chicken and peanu...

Bolivia Exchange #1

Hola a todos My first full day in Cochabamba has passed and I'm feeling great. At this point I have met and socialized with my exchange family a ton and it's been terrific . The plane we used to actually get into Bolivia is very similar to the planes we used to fly into Aniak with; 2 rows of 2 seats, cramped, and small overhead bins, but I can't complaint, whatever gets me to where I need to be is alright. When I landed I was immediately greeted by Daniela my exchange mother and Carlos my exchange father who immediately were great people. After getting back to their house and having the unique parts of Bolivia explained to me and having settled into my room I met their son (sorry bro if your reading this I don't know how to spell your name, so you're "their son" for the time being) and hung out, using his playstation until going to a horror movie with 3 of his friends. After that we just had a good time wandering around the mall area for hours.  My main c...
